This year I was reunited with my dudes in Walk The Moon for their first headline tour of 2019. Did you know that Canada is cold in January? It is. I have photo evidence of this. Along with photo evidence of many amazing shows, backstage shenanigans, and several birthdays. Like, so many birthdays. (Including my own first tour birthday!) We also had the pleasure of being joined by our friends, Bear Hands, as the opening band!

I never know what to expect going into each tour, and I certainly can never guess which ones will be the most amazing and meaningful. The live set is always at the center of everything, but what you can never account for is the incredible and specific chemistry that each bill of bands produces backstage and on the road. It’s the memories that only those on the tour get to take away. With MisterWives we had the pleasure of supporting 30 Seconds To Mars along with Joywave and Walk The Moon, so there were quite a few new and long-time friends on this tour for me!

Lauren “Lulu” Bernard is an amazing stylist with whom I’ve had the pleasure of becoming friends via our work with Walk the Moon. If you’ve seen anything from Lulu, you know her style is everything sparkly, colorful, quirky, positive, and fun! Earlier this year I shot a feature of Lulu (and her fluffy orange cat Loris) in her LA home and local vintage store to showcase her personal style and work. The shoot was premiered here with an interview in Local Wolves. Below are some more of my faves from the day we spent together!

Taking photos for friends is the best thing, especially when I get to create memories during such a special milestone in life! And it’s even better when I’ve had a previous experience photographing them.
We wanted a timeless and romantic feel for Megan and Kevin’s engagement shoot, so I spend a Saturday in Indy with these two documenting them in their beautiful home and on the stunning grounds of IMA. Can’t wait to pick it back up at their wedding next year!

These guys having been touring their latest album, Talking Is Hard, during most of 2015 so far, and I’ve had the pleasure of traveling with them to document shows and life on the road. This is the first of a multi-part tour photo journal, starting with Spring dates in April of this year. These photos cover their sold out shows in Boston at HOB and Philly at TLA. Main support, The Griswolds, make a few appearances as well. If you haven’t already, you should do yourself the favor of seeing Walk the Moon live!
