Some of the best weddings come out of a solid vision and working with top-notch local vendors to bring it to life. Jessica was inspired by the class and style of the Great Gatsby. We started at the Colcord Hotel in downtown OKC, where everyone was getting ready. The ceremony and reception took place on the rooftop of The Caliber, which has always been one of my favorite venues for it’s uniqueness and location. Planning and some florals were done by the amazing Emerson Events and Design. Other vendors include Nexus Entertainment & Cheevers Catering.

I realize that these images barely scratch the surface of the “steampunk” look, but I’ve always been drawn by this style and really wanted to do a steampunk-inspired shoot. I have to give props to Catie Bartlett for shooting these with me! We had so much fun with the dark and whimsical theme, in a perfect, woodsy location, on a nice day in December.

Oklahoma is full of talented retail artists! Photo shoot in downtown Norman representing local craft and stylists, along with a few good-lookin’ Okies to show them off. 🙂 Credits coming soon.

Laura should go into wedding planning or something. Every single detail of this super-organized bride’s day was pure perfection, not to mention the awesome weather (not sure how they did that!), fun family and friends, and the fact that the camera loved this couple! The whole event was held on Daniel’s parents’ land in Thackerville, Oklahoma. They’d been busy all weekend setting up the whimsical entry way and stage that made me feel like I had stumbled into a flee market in Alice’s Wonderland.

So so so excited that I finally get to share Melissa’s bridal photos! This may be one of my favorite photo shoots to date! Melissa married one of my best friends, Caleb, and I’m so excited I got to work with them on the photos. She had one of the most amazing dresses I’ve ever seen, and it fit her style so well! We did the shoot at her wedding venue, Dresser Manion, in Tulsa. The building was gorgeous and had great colors and natural light in every room.

I was going through one of my all-time favorite wedding promo shoots, and decided to throw up a few more photos that I did not include in the original album. Bridal shoots are easily one of my favorite parts of the whole wedding photography experience! It’s a chance to show your fancy side and show off that expensive dress more than once. The model was my sister Kathryn, so for those of you who recognize her, don’t mistake this for her personal bridal shoot, haha. Hair and makeup by yours truly.

You can see more photos from the first post, or  the album on my Facebook Fan Page.
