This was a really special one for me, because aside from the really neat location, and the fact that these two are so cute together, Cassie happens to be my best friend in the whole world. We took a drive down to the Wichitaws for a unique, natural setting, including the Parallel Forrest. They’re getting married next fall!
My best friend Cassie Neahring has had an amazing month! She had her brick and mortar store’s grand opening at LIVE on the Plaza– something that’s been a long time coming for her and that she’s worked so hard on. Go check out Out on a Limb! AND her sweet boyfriend Kael decided it would be the perfect opportunity to propose in front of all their friends and family. Such a great night for two of the best people I know!
Sidenote: if you’re planning on proposing, you should definitely have a photographer there. *wink*

Every year I struggle to come up with a birthday activity that is unique and enjoyable for all involved. This year, it just so happened that a band I LOVE (The Burning Hotels) was playing a rare show the weekend right before my birthday. The only problem is that the band and show were Fort Worth. Solution? Birthday road trip with a handful of my closest friends! I decided to take my camera along (of course) for some freestyle, candid shots with a documentary flavor. P.S. My camera was occasionally commandeered by my sister Kathryn, and who knows who else.
Only one photo of the actual show is included, as The Wild Rooster was very dark, but we had a great time hanging out and listening!
