Since I’m quite behind on my blog posts, Elliot Riesenweber has already arrived into the world. But that means I can show you the maternity, hospital and newborn photos all together! Jacob & Christine are good friends of mine, so I had the privilege of documenting their entire first baby experience!

This life event was also part of another creative experiment of mine, so stay tuned for that later this year!

I don’t shoot families and kids very often, but when I do, I love shooting for other photographers. Catie’s family is well trained in front of a camera! Not to mention creative locations like the FAIR make it really fun and unique! The craziness in the background is all part of the charm. You can’t get photos like this just anywhere!

I’m always flattered when a fellow photographer asks me to take pictures. Hillary and Tyler have been friends of mine since college and just had their first baby. I LOVE it when couples get creative with their newborn session, and use props that represent their personality. Cora’s daddy is an optometrist!

If you’re expecting, make sure to schedule your newborn pictures well in advance, because you’ll get the best photos within the first week of life. That is when babies sleep the most and are therefore the most cooperative with being positioned. I’m happy to set set a flexible date with you for newborn photos since exact birthdays are obviously highly unpredictable!

My friends Tyler and Julie just had their first little one and I was happy to get to do some photos for them!
