Weddings are often a blur of activity, so booking a post-wedding photo shoot is the best way to get amazing pictures as a couple. I had a blast taking my time with newly married Mr. & Mrs. Willis to get some gorgeous photos!

The wedding and reception took place at Cherokee Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. I was tempted to put together a montage of crying photos for this one!

I’m glad I didn’t have to wait long to share these bridals of Meredith! So gorgeous! She and Ryan got married in June and moved across the country just a few days after this shoot. See their wedding post here.

My beautiful sister Kathryn often ends up being my go-to model when I feel like shooting, whether I’m trying a new technique, idea, or just for fun. In this session, she shot a few of me as well!

And… one of me:

I’ve been taking pictures for Cristi since before she was pregnant, so it was fun to do one year pictures for Eli! We even did a cake smash- he loved it!

Lately I’ve wanted to make time for more artificial lighting on location to create a fashion edge, so I grabbed my sister Kathryn and my friend Catie for some just-for-fun experimenting. We found an awesome, tall, wheat field in Yukon, OK and spent the sunset trying different setups for a variety of effects. It was an overcast day, which gave us some cool clouds, and with just a couple speedlights, we were able to bring them out while keeping the front fill soft and dreamy. There’s a natural light shot thrown in as well.

So so so excited that I finally get to share Melissa’s bridal photos! This may be one of my favorite photo shoots to date! Melissa married one of my best friends, Caleb, and I’m so excited I got to work with them on the photos. She had one of the most amazing dresses I’ve ever seen, and it fit her style so well! We did the shoot at her wedding venue, Dresser Manion, in Tulsa. The building was gorgeous and had great colors and natural light in every room.
