The gentlemen of Paperscissor grace the blog again. We recently did a quick promo shoot while they were all in town!
My sisters and I are far enough apart in age and where we live, so we don’t get to spend a lot of time together. We took a quick weekend road trip to Dallas to hang out and take pictures! The following chronicles just part of what we did and where we stopped.
In lieu of the traditional bridal shoot before the wedding, Lauren and Ryan opted for a post-wedding couple bridal session. It’s a great way to focus on getting photos in your wedding outfits, without the rush that exists on the actual wedding day. And you’re not limited to any specific location near your venue! We shot in OKC’s Myriad Gardens downtown and Automobile Alley in Midtown.
This sweet couple had an elegant summer wedding in Norman, OK. Their ceremony took place at St. John’s Episcopal Church and the reception at the University of Oklahoma’s ballroom. The event had so many gorgeous details, and Lauren and Ryan were so easy in front of the camera as well as gracious hosts. The family and guests had me cracking up at the reception all night! It was definitely a party!

Heard The Dangerous Summer for the first time opening for The Secret Handshake in 2009, and have been addicted ever since. Below are photos from their OKC and Dallas dates on their most recent US tour for Golden Record. It was a great time hanging out, and they had some talented support as well!

Curtural districts and block parties have been popping up all over central Oklahoma City the last several years. This year, the one to emerge was the H&8th Night Market (Hudson & 8th in downtown OKC). H&8th is a community gathering with performances, food trucks, art, and shops/bars that are open after hours. Local band, Paperscissor, performed at the most recent gathering.

This stunning beauty got married, so I finally get to share her bridals! We found some cool spots around her wedding venue in Guthrie!
This lovely lady was planning a two-day wedding ceremony and had a dress for each part! The last two outfits were hand-made, traditional African dresses for the cultural festivities! Wedding photos coming in a few weeks!
