Lately I’ve wanted to make time for more artificial lighting on location to create a fashion edge, so I grabbed my sister Kathryn and my friend Catie for some just-for-fun experimenting. We found an awesome, tall, wheat field in Yukon, OK and spent the sunset trying different setups for a variety of effects. It was an overcast day, which gave us some cool clouds, and with just a couple speedlights, we were able to bring them out while keeping the front fill soft and dreamy. There’s a natural light shot thrown in as well.

I’ve grown up with Caitlin, so it was really nice to meet her fiance Brendon and get to do their engagement photos! We spent some time out in Choctaw and found some awesome locations.

Jenny and Andrew got married at Salyer Lake in Binger, Oklahoma. The area was so beautiful, and we had great weather that day with just a little bit of cloud cover. It was elegantly simple, with family and many close friends. I thoroughly enjoyed working with them! I was assisted by the talented Catie Bartlett.

On our way back from a wedding, Catie and I stumbled across a really neat abandoned property. We couldn’t resist checking it out! There were still all kinds of furnishings just left inside a few dilapidated buildings, now covered in vines and tall grass. Nature had completely taken over. It was really interesting! The photo of me was taken by Catie.

I was so blessed to play a part in Caleb and Melissa’s big day. Caleb has been a good friend since I was a freshman at UCO, and I have gotten to know and love Melissa over the past couple years. They are so great together, and we were presented with such solid evidence of this throughout their whole wedding.

They got married at the beautiful Dresser Mansion in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
